Kate first joined our team back in 2009, embarking on her journey as a veterinary nurse after completing her Certificate in Veterinary Nursing. From the very beginning, her passion for animals became evident, reflected in her compassionate approach to nursing. She has an unwavering dedication to caring for all creatures, whether they are the tiniest kittens or the largest farm animals. One of her most cherished parts of the job is the opportunity to nurse profoundly sick or injured animals back to health, taking great joy in the daily routines of care that foster their recovery.
Outside of work, Kate dedicates her time to a local dairy farm, where she immerses herself in the stunning natural landscapes of Taranaki. She enjoys working on the farm, and loves to connect with her ‘favourite’ cows within the herd and their unique personalities.
At home, Kate’s heart extends to a household filled with dogs. Currently, she lovingly cares for a very elderly dog named Tiny. Despite her age, Tiny possesses a tenacious spirit, having defied the odds with more than nine lives to her name. It is Kate’s tender and devoted care that has allowed her to thrive, a testament to her compassionate nature and unwavering dedication to the animals she cherishes.
