Rob is a familiar and well-respected figure at our clinic, having dedicated his skills to the practice since 1980. As our Chief Medical Director, he excels in his multifaceted and challenging role, specializing in the care of small and large animals, always striving to deliver exceptional veterinary services. Rob’s compassionate and empathetic demeanor plays a crucial role in providing support to pet owners.
Rob has recently been named the President of the New Zealand Veterinary Association, a testament to his unwavering dedication and exceptional expertise in the field. Aside from earning his Masters in Veterinary Medicine, he has also developed a keen interest in Oncology, which has now become an integral part of our practice. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to benefit from the guidance and skills of such a committed individual.
When he’s not immersed in veterinary work, Rob takes to the skies with his pilot’s license, exploring the breathtaking landscapes of New Zealand. In his leisure time, he and his wife Dawn oversee their lifestyle block and enjoy the hobby of restoring classic cars. Additionally, Rob now spends a considerable amount of time in Scotland, where his grandchild resides. As a lover of animals, Rob has a soft spot for his few turtles, which were originally rescued from his clinic.
